DAC

scalinguppercasealways_latin

Definition

A data availability committee: a named group that attests that a chain's transaction data has been published and can be retrieved. It is cheaper than posting data onchain, but users must trust the committee not to withhold it.

Also known as

data availability committee

Note

Data availability committee. Not to be confused with "decentralized autonomous corporation" (rare usage). DAO is the more common term for that concept.
